Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy 

This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains the conditions applicable to consultation bookings, appointment rescheduling, cancellations, advance payments and eligible refunds for services arranged through www.profbasu.in and associated communication channels of Prof. (Dr.) J. K. Basu.
The policy applies to astrology, horoscope analysis, numerology, Vaastu consultation, research-oriented astrological consultation and other related professional services.

1. Consultation Booking & Confirmation 

A consultation is considered confirmed after the appointment has been accepted and any applicable advance or booking payment has been received.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate contact information and the details reasonably required for the selected consultation.
Appointment dates and times remain subject to confirmation and availability. 

2. Client-Initiated Cancellation 

If a client wishes to cancel a confirmed consultation, the request should be communicated as early as reasonably possible through the available contact channels.
Where a cancellation request is received at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, rescheduling will normally be offered first.
Where rescheduling is not reasonably possible, any refund eligibility will be determined according to the stage of the service, work already undertaken and any applicable transaction or administrative costs. 

3. Rescheduling of Appointments 

Clients may request rescheduling when circumstances prevent attendance at the originally confirmed appointment.
Requests made at least 24 hours before the scheduled consultation will normally be considered for an alternative available date or time.
Repeated rescheduling requests, very late requests or changes made after substantial preparatory work has begun may be handled on a case-by-case basis.

4. Late Cancellation & No-Show 

A cancellation or rescheduling request made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may not qualify for a refund.
If a client does not attend the confirmed consultation and does not provide reasonable prior notice, the appointment may be treated as a no-show.
In such cases, the consultation fee or advance already applied to the reserved appointment may be non-refundable. 

5. Cancellation or Rescheduling by Prof. (Dr.) J. K. Basu 

Occasionally, an appointment may need to be changed because of professional commitments, technical problems, emergencies or other unavoidable circumstances.
Where this occurs, the client will normally be offered a suitable alternative appointment.
If the consultation cannot reasonably be rescheduled or provided, any eligible payment received specifically for that undelivered service may be refunded or otherwise adjusted by mutual agreement. 

6. Refund Eligibility Before Service Delivery 

A refund may be considered where:

• a consultation is cancelled sufficiently in advance;

• the requested service has not yet substantially commenced;

• preparatory analysis, report preparation or other personalized work has not already been undertaken; and

• rescheduling or an alternative service arrangement is not practical.

Approval of a refund will depend on the circumstances of the particular booking.
Any payment-gateway, banking or transaction charges that cannot be recovered may be deducted where applicable.

7. No Refund After Completed Consultation or Delivered Service 

Once a consultation has been substantially completed, a personalized analysis has been delivered, or the agreed professional service has otherwise been fulfilled, the related fee is generally non-refundable.
Astrology, numerology, Vaastu and related consultations involve personalized professional analysis, preparation and interpretative work. Payment therefore relates to the professional service provided and not to any guaranteed future outcome. 

8. Personalized Reports, Analyses & Digital Deliverables 

Customized horoscope reports, research-oriented analyses, written interpretations, charts, digital documents or other personalized deliverables prepared specifically for a client are generally non-refundable once preparation has substantially begun or delivery has taken place.
If a technical error prevents access to a digital deliverable, reasonable efforts will be made to provide the material again through an available communication channel.

9. Remedy, Product & Physical Delivery Transactions 

Where a consultation leads to the supply of a physical remedy, gemstone, product or other deliverable, cancellation, replacement, dispatch and delivery conditions may depend on the individual item and stage of procurement or preparation.
Such transactions are additionally governed by the website's Shipping & Delivery Policy and any specific terms communicated before purchase.
Customized, sourced or specially prepared items may have different cancellation or refund conditions from consultation services.

10. Payment Errors & Duplicate Transactions 

If a client believes that the same payment has been processed more than once or that an incorrect amount has been transferred, the matter should be reported promptly with the relevant transaction reference.
After verification, confirmed duplicate or erroneous payments may be refunded or adjusted against the appropriate service balance.
Clients should never share UPI PINs, banking passwords, OTPs or other confidential authentication credentials while requesting payment verification. 

11. Refund Method & Processing Time 

Where a refund is approved, it will ordinarily be processed through the original payment method or another mutually agreed legitimate payment channel where necessary.
After initiation, the time taken for the amount to appear in the client's account may depend on the bank, UPI provider, payment service or other financial intermediary involved.
A processing period of approximately 7–10 business days may apply after a refund has been initiated, although third-party processing times may vary. 

12. Exceptional Circumstances 

Requests arising from medical emergencies, bereavement, serious technical disruption or other exceptional circumstances may be considered individually.
Nothing in this policy prevents Prof. (Dr.) J. K. Basu from offering a reasonable rescheduling, adjustment, credit or refund where the circumstances justify doing so.
